The School of Resources and Environmental Engineering is composed of several prominent disciplines including Environmental Engineering, Energy Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, etc. Adhering to China’s strategic needs of efficient utilization of national resources and energy as well as green and sustainable development, the school has carried out a large number of fundamental and innovative scientific studies and technological researches on the basis of coal conversion process, advanced coal gasification technology, syngas to chemicals, conversion of biomass and available resources, industrial water pollution control, air pollution chemistry and control, solid waste disposal and resource recycling, comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources, environmental risk assessment and management, chemical safety assessment, etc. The school is in the leading position in the fields of large-scale coal gasification technology, chemical process pollution control technology, and comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources, etc.
