SREE Alumni Association Seminar was held on January 5th in ECUST, Xuhui Campus. The participants included: Li Jianwei, Director of ECUST Development & Alumni Relations Office, Qiang Ning, Associate Professor of Tongji University, Xiu Guangli, Chairman of the Alumni Association and Party Committee Secretary of SREE, Rao Zhixiong and Cao Na, Deputy Party Committee Secretaries of the school, Chen Liangfeng, Secretary General of VOCs Alumni Association, and members of the Alumni Association. Xiu Guangli presided over the seminar.
Xiuguangli, based on the fifth session of the first council of the Alumni Association and the Second Local Alumni Seminar, stated that the Industry Alumni Association, as the most dynamic organization in the alumni system in ECUST, would be the focus of alumni work in 2020 both for the university and the school. Besides, SREE would improve the quality of alumni work from three aspects: first, strengthen the internal and external connection through the interaction between VOCs Alumni Association and local alumni associations; second, establish a special group from the aspect of technical services to be the think tank for local development; third, share information to serve more enterprises.
Rao Zhixiong reported the work on alumni affairs in 2019 from the perspective of organization construction, image promotion, alumni activities, fund collection, made suggestion on work efficiency, brand building, school-enterprise cooperation and new donation mode. Then, Chen Liangfeng introduced the development of VOCs Alumni Association since its establishment in May 2018, and discussed with alumni the work focus of VOCs Alumni Association in 2020.
Li Jianwei expressed his gratitude to all alumni to discuss the development plans of the school and affirmed the progress and achievement of alumni work in recent years.
He suggested that alumni work should focus on self-positioning, resource integration and collaborative promotion. As the “heater” for emotional contact between the school and alumni, the “accelerator” for the development of the alumni work, and the “booster” for the construction of “double first-class” of ECUST, the organization should make more contributions to the development of the school, alumni, society and the country.
