On the morning of June 13th, the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering held the Graduation Ceremony & Degree Awarding Ceremony for the Graduates of 2020, which was combined mode, online and offline. Many faculty members, including Yu Jianguo, Director of the Academic Committee of the school, Liu Yongdi, Director of the Degree Evaluation Committee, Xiu Guangli, Party Committee Secretary of the school, Wang Hualin, Dean of the school, Sun Xianbo, Vice Dean, Sun Yuzhu, Vice Dean, department heads, and other professors turned the tassels and issued diplomas for the graduates.
The school presented a mug symbolizing “lifelong friendship” to the representatives of the graduates, who sent flowers to the participating teachers to express their huge respect. Three undergraduate representatives read a letter to themselves written four years ago when they entered the university in 2016, and summarized their progress in the past four years. The representative of graduate students performed a song named “Your Answer” to encourage all graduates to pursue the ideal courageously.
“Graduation is also a starting point”, Wang Hualin hooped that all 2020 graduates will find a suitable development path in the rapidly changing society. He said that ECUST and SREE, as the strong support for the alumni, welcome each of them to go back to have a visit.
The graduation ceremony was online and offline in order to share the precious moment to all graduates and parents who failed to return to school. Online video live broadcast and photo live broadcast enabled the graduates and their parents who were not presented to be involved in the strong graduation atmosphere.
