In October 24-25, 2020, The 11th annual conference of Chinese Society of Particles and the Cross-Strait Particle Technology Seminar was held in Xiamen, Fujian. More than a thousand experts and scholars attended this seminar. During the awards ceremony on October 25th, the project “Research on the mechanism of complex fluid and low Mach number airflow coaxial atomizer”, cooperatively completed by ECUST (Liu Haifeng, Zhao Hui, Li Weifeng, Xu Jianliang and others) and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, won the first prize.
In the past two decades, with the strong support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Foundation of China and Shanghai Municipality, the project team has conducted a systematic study on the primary and secondary rupture processes of complex rheological slurries such as coal water slurry. By revealing in-depth complex mechanism of liquids fracture and controlling and the atomization law of coal-water slurry gasification burners, they have successfully developed high-efficiency and long-life gasification burners with independent intellectual property rights.
