Prof. Jiang Jianchun is the academician of China Engineering Academy and researcher of Chinese Academy of Forestry. In the afternoon of October 29th, this excellent alumnus was appointed as Honorary Professor of ECUST. The ceremony was held in Tong Hai Hall in Fengxian campus. Du Huifang, secretary of the Party Committee of ECUST presented the letter of appointment and a school badge for him. The whole ceremony was hosted by Xiu Guangli, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering. Yan Haifeng, director of Depart of Human Resources and Head of teachers’ work department in ECUST, introduced academic achievements of Jiang Jianchun in the ceremony.
On behalf of the university, Secretary of the Party Committee Du Huifang extended sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks to academician Jiang Jianchun for his appointment as honorary professor. Besides, she mentioned that, as the academic leader of forestry chemical industry in China, the joining of Academician Jiang would be a great help to further improve the scientific research of our university in the field of resource recovery of solid waste and biomass energy. Moreover, he would also play a significant role in promoting the first-class discipline construction, talent training, social services and other aspects of our university.
Academician Jiang Jianchun also expressed his excitement to be the honorary professor of ECUST and promised to make contribution to alma mater by scientific research cooperation and student training, etc. After the ceremony, Professor Jiang gave the lecture “Development of Biomass Energy and Carbon Material”.
Rao Zhixiong and Cao Na, deputy secretaries of the Party Committee, Wang Fuchen, professor of School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Zhang Suping, head of the Department of Energy Chemical Engineering, representatives of teachers and about 100 students attended this ceremony.
