In the morning of October 28, Yu Guangsuo, professor ofSchool of Resources and Environmental Engineering,Zhang Suping, head of the Department of Energy Chemical Engineering and Lu Haifeng, associate professor went to Linggu Chemical Group Co., Ltd. to talk about the Industry- University-Research practice base for undergraduates majoring in Energy and Power Engineering. Welcomed by Tan Fuyuan, chairman of the board of Linggu Chemical Group Co., Ltd., they discussed with senior leaders about undergraduate internship, students’ social practice and application of scientific research achievements.

Linggu Chemical Group Co., Ltd., located in Yixing city, Jiangsu province, is a famous enterprise in Nitrogen fertilizer industry. With the development concept of "innovative, green, economic, sustainable and Shared development", the company always attaches great importance to scientific and technological progress and innovation. In 2006, it cooperated with the Institute of Clean Coal Technology Research of ECUST. With the Opposed Multi-burner Coal Water Slurry Gasification Technology, the company has enjoyed high operating efficiency and its technical index of the equipment is among the best in the industry. The company’s main product “Linggu” urea has been awarded “Jiangsu famous brand product” and “Jiangsu famous brand” in successive years. It sells well not only in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Shanghai but also in international markets. It is also entitled as the advanced energy saving unit in Jiangsu province and has been awarded as the “leading enterprise with low energy consumption” in the key product of the petrochemical industry. In 2013, it was identified as the first “model enterprise of clean production” in key industries by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of People’s Republic of China. In 2016, the company won the second prize of national science and technology progress for its project “key technology innovation and application of large efficient coal-water slurry gasification process”.

After discussion, the two parties have agreed to establish an undergraduate industry-university-research practice base. This school-enterprise cooperation will promote   integration of Industry, University and Research, and make greater contributions to talent training, industrial cooperation and social service.
