Our Reaction Safety Research Center Obtained CNAS Accreditation of National-level Laboratories

Recently, our Reaction Safety Research Center passed the review of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and obtained the laboratory accreditation certificate. This accreditation indicates that the laboratory meets the requirements of CNAS laboratory accreditation in terms of the operation of the quality management system, personnel competence, equipment and environmental conditions, method and data control, etc., and has the ability to carry out testing/experiments and issue results within the scope of accreditation. 

CNAS is China's national accreditation body, and the criteria on which it bases its laboratory accreditation work are equivalent to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (CNAS-CL01:2018). In addition, CNAS participates in the international mutual recognition system, and has multilateral mutual recognition with ILAC-MRA and IAF-MLA, so the accreditation results have the basis for international mutual recognition within the specified scope. 

Since the launch of the CNAS accreditation application, the center has, in accordance with the requirements of the accreditation criteria and focusing on the capacity building related to reaction heat risk assessment, thermal analysis, etc., improved quality documents and operation records, strengthened personnel training and authorization management, completed equipment metrology traceability and intermediate checks, and carried out method confirmation/verification, quality control and competence monitoring. During the review, the review team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the system operation and technical capabilities through document review, on-site verification, personnel inquiry, witness testing and other methods, and affirmed the standardized operation and technical preparation of the laboratory. 

In the next step, the center will take the CNAS accreditation as a new starting point, consolidate the quality of system operation, and further improve the technical level and service efficiency around the key testing capabilities for reaction safety; on the premise of ensuring compliance and data reliability, in response to the scientific research and industrial needs inside and outside the university, it will steadily carry out teaching and training, scientific research support and social services, and promote industry-university-research collaboration, providing more solid technical support for discipline development and regional work safety scientific and technological innovation.
