According to the news sent from the site of the second-phase project the Jiangxi Base of Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jiangxi Xinlianxi), the feeding process of the multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasification device jointly developed by our university and Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd., with a single-boiler daily coal treatment volume of 4,000 tons, succeeded at 11:30 on September 20, 2025, and the device produced qualified products at 18:26 on September 22. The second-phase project of Jiangxi Xinlianxin is located at the Jishan Industrial Park of Pengze County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. In the project, coal was taken as the raw material to produce synthetic ammonia. The device was designed to produce gas with a volume of 210000 Nm3 (CO+H2)/h. It is another ultra-large multi-nozzle gasification device that is being operated now.
The successful operation of the second-phase project of Jiangxi Xinlianxin realized our university's fine cultivation in the field of coal-based synthetic ammonia production and made the idea of designing costs come true. The construction of the project was formally started in May 2024, and nearly 5,000 constructors joined the project. A 6.5 MPa multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasifier, with a single-boiler daily coal treatment volume of 4,000 tons, was newly constructed in the project. The gasifier is an ultra-large one developed by our university and Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd., based on the subject of the National Key Research and Development Program of the 13th Five-year Plan. The successful operation stands for another successful application case of the ultra-large multi-nozzle gasifier.
The large-scale transformation of the core devices of modern coal chemical engineering enterprises, gasifiers, is one of the effective ways to improve the energy utilization efficiency and lower the total investment in projects. Our university's first thousand-ton-level multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasification demonstrative device has been operated since 2005, and our university is always at a leading position in terms of the research and development of the large-scale transformation of gasification facilities in the world. By now, 76 projects and 220 gasifiers have been ed in total, and 136 gasifiers have been put into operation, which powerfully es the transformation and upgrade of China's energy industry and lays a technical foundation for the early achievement of the goal, Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality.
Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. is a large-scale coal chemical engineering group that integrates research, development, production, sales, and services. At present, it has three production bases in Henan, Xinjiang, and Jiangxi, with a total asset amount of RMB 31.8 billion. It is an urea enterprise with the biggest single-entity scale and first-class unit product profit-making capacity in China. The base in Jiangxi now has more than 1,800 employees. RMB 8 billion has been invested in the first-phase project, which can produce 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 52 tons of urea, and 40 tons of dimethyl ether each year. The project was put into production in February 2021. RMB 10 billion has been invested in the second-phase project, which explores new, coal-based, and biodegradable materials and high-end and professional chemicals in the new energy industry. The project was fully put into production in September 2025. The base in Jiangxi has developed and been a modernized industrial park that takes fertilizers as the basis and simultaneously develops fertilizers and chemical fertilizers.
