When the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee is deeply learned and implemented nationwide, the Ninth Seminar for Multi-nozzle Opposed Coal-gasification Technology Promotion and Application jointly held by our university, Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd., and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation was held on November 12-14 in Jinan, Shandong. More than 270 signed users of the technology of multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification, elites of coal chemical engineering enterprises, experts of scientific research institutes, engineering company representatives, etc., from all over the country gathered here to attend the grand meeting in the field of coal-gasification technology.

Li Yongwu, the former Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Liu Qiang, the Deputy General Manager of Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd., and Shen Haitao, the Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, made opening speeches respectively, and Li Zhijian, the Vice Dean of the School of Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning, made a special report for the seminar. The Vice Secretary Shen Haitao represented the East China University of Science and Technology to warmly welcome all leaders, specialists, and guests and said that the university cooperated with Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd. for a long time to establish a collaborative innovation team of mutually complementary powers and jointly constructed national key laboratories, national engineering centers, and other scientific research bases. The team has continuously taken innovation as its spirit to construct an innovative ecology that deeply integrates industry-academy-research-utilization and provides solid technological support and talent guarantee for the transformation and upgrade of China's energy industry. The former Chairman Li Yongwu said that East China University of Science and Technology and Shandong Energy Group earnestly implemented national policies on science, technology, and industries, actively carried out industrial, academic, and research cooperations, and successfully developed multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasification technology, with an independent intellectual property right, which made positive and important contributions to the ion of structural adjustment and format transformation of the whole industry and maintenance of the steady development. The Deputy General Manager, Liu Qiang, said that the seminar was just the 20th anniversary of the successful commissioning of the demonstrative device of the multi-nozzle opposed coal-water slurry gasification technology and the 30th anniversary of the cooperation between Shandong Energy Group and East China University of Science and Technology, having the significance of a milestone. As a platform for industry-academy-research-utilization cooperation and exchange platform that serves enterprise clients, engineering design units, equipment manufacturing companies, and scientific research institutes, it will continue to play the role of the bridge and bond of communication and strive to become an important engine that es coal-gasification technical innovation and industrial upgrade. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Wang Fuchen of our university. Professor Yu Guangsuo, Professor Liu Haifeng, Professor Wang Yifei, Professor Chen Xueli, and other members of the team of the Research Institute of Clean Coal Technology of our university attended the seminar.
The seminar closely centered on the core theme, the innovative development of coal-gasification technology in the context of the target, Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality, and set 28 reports and 1 special seminar of operating experience exchange, aiming to gather industrial intelligence and e the high-quality development of coal-gasification technology in a new era. Representatives who attended the seminar shared their manipulation and management experiences during the process of gasification installation operation and reported measures of technical optimization in detail, which provided an important guarantee for the long-term, safe, and stable operation of multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification devices. Professor Wang Yifei of our university made a report titled the Developmental Course and Application Progress of Multi-nozzle Opposed Coal-gasification Technology to intensively introduce the latest technical research and development results and engineering application progress made by our university in the field of the multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification technology, which showed the university's technical accumulation and innovative strength in this field. Since the seminar of the multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification technology was held first in 2007, our university has smoothly held 17 seminars and successfully established a complete platform for enterprise-university cooperation and technical exchange, which further improved the university's influence in the industry.
In the context of comprehensive coal cleaning and utilization and green and efficient development of the coal chemical engineering industry, our university and Shandong Energy Group Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Yankuang Group Co., Ltd.) jointly researched and developed the multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification technology. Produced in 2005, the first thousand-ton-level demonstrative device has been commercially operated for twenty years. At present, the technology has been ed and applied to 77 engineering projects and 223 gasifiers at home and abroad, among which 136 devices have been put into production. As the waste heat boiler-chilling process gasification device with a daily single-boiler coal treatment capacity of 2,000 tons and the 3,000-ton pulverized coal gasification device were put into stable operation successively, the multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification technology was optimized in terms of industrial demonstration, production energy efficiency, single-boiler scale, process performance index, stability, reliability, etc. The series of successful development and application of the large-scale coal-gasification technology contributed to the world-leading status of our university in the field of entrained flow coal-gasification technology and provided important technical support for the green and low-carbon development of China's modern coal chemical engineering industry.
The successful seminar held infused new vitality into the further development of the multi-nozzle opposed coal-gasification technology and ed China's coal chemical engineering industry to reach a new high based on the guidance of the goal, Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality.
