Recently, the Research Center of Reaction Safety at our university passed a review by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and obtained a certificate of laboratory certification. The recognition indicates that the laboratory's quality management system operation, personnel ability, equipment and environmental conditions, approach and data control, etc., can meet the laboratory certification requirements of CNAS, and it has the capacity for conducting of inspections/tests and result issuance within the certified scope.
CNAS is a national certification organization of China, and it carries out laboratory certification according to the rules consistent with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (CNAS-CL01:2018). At the same time, CNAS has joined the international mutual certification system. It can mutually certify with ILAC-MRA and IAF-MLA in a multilateral form, and the result of certification is based on the international mutual certification within the stipulated scope.
Since CNAS certification declaration was initiated, the center has followed the requirements of certification rules, centered on the development of capacity related to reaction heat risk appraisal, thermal analysis, etc., systematically completed quality documents and operational records, strengthened personnel training and authorization management, completed equipment measurement source tracing and duration check, and continuously conducted approach confirmation/verification, quality control, and competence monitoring. During the process of review, the review group comprehensively evaluated system operation and technical capacity through document review, on-site checking, personnel inquiry, test witness, etc., and affirmed the normative operation of the laboratory and the situation of technical preparation.
In the next step, the center will take the certification of CNAS as a new start, continuously consolidate the quality of system operation, and center on key capacity for reaction safety testing to further enhance its technical level and service efficiency. With the premise of compliance guarantee and data reliability, the center will face the requirements for on-campus and off-campus scientific research and industries, steadily carry out teaching practice, scientific research support and social services, promote the collaboration among industry, academy, and research, and provide more solid technical support for disciplinary development, regional safe production and scientific and technological innovation.
